While i'm waiting for Call of Duty 4 to install thought i'd come and ask you lot a question.

First person shooters:

Do you prefer them on Console or PC?

Personally i miles prefer them on PC, mainly because i suck at the whole console controller thing, mouse and keyboard are awesome.

Whats your take?

PC is better for all games except racing games (where controller is king). Besiders that PC pwns.

Mouse and keyboard is FTW.

Sports you generally need control pads, but you can get them for your PC no worries.

RTS is definitely best on the PC.

RPGs are great on both depending on the style of play.

<3 Wii Remote

Too bad Red Steel sucked, but Metroid was awesome on Wii.

I prefer any action games on the console.
RPG can go either way.
RTS definitely on the PC

Edit: I use the term action vaguely. Anything that requires rapid button pressing, and reflexes.

I prefer all games on a PC personally, but like Flem said, using a controller for a racing game is awesome.

I prefer FPS on both. Consoles allow more people at one time if you are not connected to the internet.

I like both, depends in the game, i love COD4 on console but i liked battlefield and good ol delta force on the PC. I guess if its more tactical i like the PC but console seems better for more arcade-ish games. One thing about the PC is you can fell disadvanatged due to equipment somtimes...

For shooters, everything i have seen points to PC being better to play on, because a mouse kicks so much ass compared to a controller.
I prefer console cuse i like to sit back on the couch and relax....plus i dont have to upgrade my console but once every 5 years

I prefer them on PC because I feel like there is more freedom and you arent limited to the console, also like the keyboard/mouse combo better.

I play CoD4 competitively on PC for the team Death Is Not An Option, therefore PC is superior.

I think CoD4 for the PS3 is pretty easy. I prefer most of my games for the consule.

Yeah when you use an overpowered P90 and the lamest of lame perks juggernaut and sleight of hand you tend to kill shit. The game is a pubbers game out of the box, definitely not made for competition; thank god for PAM mod which changes and limits most of the perks/weapon damage.

For me, I choose between console and PC depending on the requirements. My computer is an obsolete single core 2.4ghz, 1 gig of ram and a 2 year old graphics card. So for high end games like NFS Pro Street I'd pick my XBox 360 over the PC.

Another thing I take into account is MP. I dont have Live, so if the game has a good MP, I'll take the PC version and lower the graphics.

But as far as FPS games and whether I prefer Console or PC. I really can't tell for sure. I find it ALOT easier to snipe with the Console Controller and to wrestle with my mouse. Even with on the fly sensitivity. The mouse is great for running and gunning. Frankly I'd pick the PC over the console simply because of Multiplayer, if my computer were a decent piece of kit.

I prefer having a mouse to aim for FPS, RPGs I prefer on console but there are some kick ass ones on PC also. Action/Adventure games that are usually button mashing are better on consoles along with sports games.
